Penn State All 105: Audavion Collins Looks To Lead In 2026

Transfer receiver Karon Brookins and returning Senior Audavion Collins fight for the football.

Audavion Collins started all 13 games for Penn State last year and ended up being voted All-Big Ten honorable mention by the media at season’s end.

The physical cornerback looks to continue his momentum into the 2026 season.

Last year he registered 47 tackles with 33 of them being solo, 2.5 tackles for loss, one fumble recovery and three pass breakups.

He’s the subject of All 105, a Nittany Sports Now series profiling each Penn State player.

High School Career: Collins was a standout cornerback at Newton High School graduating in 2022. As a senior, he was a key player for the Rams, recording 62 tackles, contributing as a wide receiver and punt returner, and earning over twenty college offers before signing with Mississippi State.

Mississippi State (2022): Collins redshirted and didn’t see any game action, but earned First Year SEC Academic Honor Roll.

PENN STATE

2023: Collins played in six games, posting three solo tackles and a tackle for a loss.

2024: Collins played in all 16 games, registering 26 tackles with 19 of them being solo and two for a loss. He had an interception, a sack and a pass deflection.

Where he stands: Collins has positioned himself as a key veteran starter in the secondary  under new defensive coordinator D’Anton Lynn.

A quote by Collins: “It’s my (cornerback) room, so therefore I got to do things that I didn’t do last year,” Collins said. “Bringing other people along and being more of a leader. I most definitely have to take a step in doing that. Getting on corners, safeties, more. Coming in together and we working out together, other than me coming in and working by myself to try to pull everybody along. Always willing to improve in everything. If you want to be the best, you got to always be willing to work,” Collins continued. “Even though I know I’m physical, I could be more physical. I could be more attached to the hip on my coverage. There’s always more, especially when you try to chase greatness. The world gonna see pretty soon — Collins to reporters in February
