Penn State football’s 2026 schedule was officially unveiled, giving fans their first look at the Nittany Lions’ path through the program’s first season under head coach Matt Campbell. The slate features a balanced mix of non-conference matchups, marquee Big Ten contests and a demanding road stretch that will test Penn State throughout the fall.
Penn State will visit Temple for the first time since 2015, renewing an in-state matchup early in the season. The Nittany Lions will also navigate a challenging October stretch without the benefit of multiple bye weeks, with USC and Michigan scheduled in consecutive weeks.
The Oct. 17 matchup at Michigan will feature a meeting between first-year head coaches Matt Campbell and Kyle Whittingham. The two have faced each other once previously, with Campbell earning a 31–28 victory in their 2024 meeting.
Penn State will also make its first visit to Husky Stadium since 1921 when it travels to Washington on Nov. 7. Husky Stadium, one of college football’s historic venues, opened in 1920.
Game times and television assignments will be announced at a later date as broadcast partners finalize their selections.
