University Park— It was the most difficult bout of the season for No. 1 Penn State wrestling, but PSU still got a comfortable win over No. 6 Nebraska at the Bryce Jordan Center, 26–12
It was Penn State’s 83rd consecutive dual meet win, extending its NCAA record.
The night did have some setbacks, such as Braeden Davis suffering a late pin against Brock Hardy at 141 and true freshman phenom PJ Duke taking his first college loss against defending national champ Antrell Taylor at 157.
But at the end of the day, Penn State wrestling did what Penn State wrestling does, and kept moving on the road to a fifth straight national title and 13th and 15 years under Cael Sanderson.
There are three dual meets left, with the first coming against No. 10 Michigan in Ann Arbor Friday, Feb. 6.
That bout is scheduled to begin at 6 on the Big Ten Network.
