Last night in thrilling fashion, the Penn State men’s basketball team defeated the Harvard Crimson, 84-80, inside the Bryce Jordan Center to improve to 5-0.
In a game that saw 11 lead changes and eight tie scores, the young Nittany Lion squad, once again, showed much resolve and resilience down the stretch.
Freshman, Kayden Mingo, scored a career-high 24 points, with 18 of them coming in the second half. He also added three assists, two rebounds and a steal in his stellar performance. He was followed by teammate, Josh Reed’s 14 points, who throughout the game used his veteran savvy to draw fouls, grab clutch offensive rebounds, and tally three steals.
Redshirt junior, Freddie Dilione V, added to the balanced scoring attack by scoring 13 points and freshman, Melih Tunca, added 10, a team-high six assists and three steals.
Freshman 7-footer, Ivan Juric, chipped in with a team-high nine rebounds and went 3-for-3 from the field for seven points.
Penn State outscored Harvard 50-32 inside the paint and forced 13 Crimson turnovers. The Nittany Lions outscored Harvard 19-4 in points off turnovers.

The Nittany Lions’ next game is this Saturday, November 22 at 4:00 P.M. as they play Providence College in the Hall of Fame Showcase in Uncasville, Connecticut at the neutral site of the Mohegan Sun Arena. The game will be nationally televised on truTV.
