No. 2 (AP)/No. 3 (Coaches) Penn State opens its 2025 season against the Nevada Wolf Pack of the Mountain West, in their first ever matchup between the two programs.
The season’s first injury report for Penn State is highlighted with redshirt senior EDGE Zuriah Fisher out versus Nevada.
Fisher was seen early as a likely breakout candidate in 2025, but is still on the mend from an injury that ended his 2024 season.
Penn State will likely look at true freshman Chaz Coleman and Yvan Kemejou to play opposite of senior Dani Dennis-Sutton.
The other highlight is junior nickelback Zion Tracy is rule questionable on the first availability report.
Franklin was asked during his Monday press conference about Tracy that he would be in a rotation with redshirt freshman Kenny Woseley Jr. and redshirt junior Kolin Dinkins.
Outside of long-term injuries to EDGE Max Granville and wide receivers Kaden Saunders, Josiah Brown, the Nittany Lions will be without:
