Penn State continues to stack preseason media recognition as the hype continues to build.
PFF College Football Analyst Max Chadwick unveiled his Top 10 offenses ahead of the 2025 season and selected Penn State as his No. 2 offense.
Chadwick praised Penn State for addressing the wide receiver room in the transfer portal landing Kyron Hudson (USC), Devonte Ross (Troy), and Trebor Pena (Syracuse).
Chadwick’s overall analysis about the 2025 offense:
“Penn State is the only team to be mentioned in all of PFF’s quarterbacks, running back units, receiving corps and offensive line rankings. The Nittany Lions topped the running back unit rankings, thanks to two of the top-six running backs in college football: Nicholas Singleton (No. 3) and Kaytron Allen (No. 6). They will take handoffs from Drew Allar, PFF’s No. 4 quarterback in the FBS.”
Clemson was Chadwick’s No. 1 offense fueled by PFF’s top ranked quarterback in Cade Klubnik and the No. 3 wide receiver unit.
Penn State returns eight starters on offense; notably quarterback Drew Allar, who many feel will vie for the top quarterback selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, running backs Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen who are universally seen as the top running back room in the country along with a top ranked offensive line unit that returns four of five starters including guard Vega Ioane, PFF’s No. 8 interior offensive lineman nationally.
Penn State opens the season August 30 against Nevada in Beaver Stadium.
