Penn State quarterback Drew Allar, running back Nick Singleton, and offensive lineman Vega Ioane continue to receive recognition as all three were named to PFF College’s Preseason All-Big Ten team.
Penn State led the way with three selections with Ohio State being the only other team to have multiple selections (wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and tight end Max Klare).
Allar was an All-Big Ten honorable mention selection by the coaches and media in 2023 and 2024.
Having guided Penn State to a 23-6 record in his first two seasons as a starter, Allar joined Baylor’s Bryce Petty as the only two quarterbacks with 800 or more completions, 50 or more passing touchdowns, and 10 or fewer interceptions.
Allar holds Penn State career marks in completion percentage (62.9) and interception percentage (1.19).
Singleton is the current FBS leader, amongst returning players, with 2,912 rushing yards, 32 rushing touchdowns, and 4,673 career all-purpose yards.
The senior running back earned Big Ten Thompson-Randle El Freshman of the Year in 2022, selected as third-team All-Big Ten honors in 2023 and was voted All-Big Ten honorable mention in 2024 as a running back and return specialist.
During the 2024 season, offensive lineman Ioane did not allow a sack and a single quarterback hit in nearly 500 pass snaps.
Ioane was integral in the Nittany Lions leading the country in first downs (367), with Top 10 finishes in passing efficiency (154.98) and fewest tackles for losses allowed (3.81).
Penn State opens its 2025 season against Nevada on August 30 at 3:30 PM in Beaver Stadium.
