With the major news of the Sept. 27 clash with Oregon going to be a night “White Out,” Penn State released upcoming kickoff times for four other matchups on the 2025 docket.
Penn State will kickoff its 139th season of football on CBS at 3:30 against Nevada. This will be the first time both schools will meet in football.
The game will be Penn State’s 32nd broadcast on CBS. Penn State has a 20-11 record through the first 31. The last time Penn State was on CBS was the 2024 Big Ten Championship Game where it fell to Oregon 45-37.
The following week, Penn State hosts Conference USA’s FIU at noon on the Big Ten Network. Penn State defeated FIU 59-0 in the only meeting, held back in 2007.

This will be the 11th matchup between both teams. Penn State has a 6-3-1 edge in the series. The teams last played each other in 2021, a 38-17 Penn State win.
Penn State has its Big Ten conference home opener against Northwestern slated for either the noon or 3:30 time slots on a network to be determined. Penn State is 22-10 all-time in Big Ten conference home openers.
