STATE COLLEGE – Penn State concluded its spring football schedule with the 2025 Blue-White Game on Saturday. Renovations were put on hold for a short time to allow the PSU community to congregate at Beaver Stadium and witness White defeat Blue 10-8 on a windy day in Happy Valley.
The game marked the first time all spring the Nittany Lions practiced or scrimmaged inside the stadium due to construction, typically a weekly occurrence.
James Franklin said after the game that he noticed its impact on some of the younger guys getting the chance to play inside Beaver Stadium for the first time. Franklin also mentioned his desire to add to the linebacker room, the pending House case impacting college athletics, and what he saw from his group during spring practice.
Offensive lineman Cooper Cousins was an outlier as one of a few true freshman to make an impact on the team in 2024. In the drivers seat for a potential starting role, Cousins recapped the spring following the Blue-White Game.
Veteran linebacker Dom DeLuca discussed his message to potential portal targets entering the linebacker room and what is ahead for him during his redshirt senior season.
Redshirt freshman Anthony Speca was praised by James Franklin for the steps he’s taken going into year two with the program and what the future holds for him with a big opportunity to contribute.
