A Penn State basketball big man has entered the transfer portal.

Per Jamie Shaw of On3Sports, Penn State is losing Kachi Nzeh (6-foot-8) to the portal after one season with the program.

This isn’t the first time Nzeh has entered the portal.

Before coming to Penn State, Nzeh started his college basketball career at Xavier, where he played the 2023-24 season. He made four stars and averaged 2.5 points and rebounds apiece before transferring to Penn State.

In Happy Valley, he put up similar numbers, ending what looks like his only season at Penn State with a 2.6 PPG and 2.2 RPG average.

Penn State could be hurting in the front court. With Nzeh in the portal and 7-footer Yanic Konan Niederhauser in the NBA Draft (he still has the option to return to Penn State), PSU needs reinforcements.

It’s worth noting that Maryland big man Braden Pierce (7-feet) visited PSU this past weekend.
