In the wonderful land of odds, Penn State TE Tyler Warren is among the best bets to go highly in the NFL Draft.

The question isnโ€™t if the 2024 John Mackey Award winner will go in the first round, itโ€™s where heโ€™ll go.

Per BetOnline, the over/under for Warrenโ€™s draft selection (yes, there are over/unders for this stuff now) is 9.5.

If Warren lands right at nine, heโ€™ll go to the New Orleans Saints, a place where many have projected him to go during the pre-Draft process. He could also go a little higher, as many see the New York Jets, who pick at seven, taking a chance on the tight end.

MOCK DRAFT MANIA

So where do the mock draft boards have Warren landing? Page one of the Mock Draft Database has Warren going as high as No. 5 (Jacksonville Jaguars) and as low as 20 (Denver Broncos). The overall consensus is that pick No. 10 is most likely for Warren. This would put him with the Chicago Bears, who have a young, potentially generational quarterback in Caleb Williams who could benefit from a tight end. Warren could also go to the Indianapolis Colts, who pick at 14 have another young QB in Anthony Richardson. Or maybe heโ€™ll go to the Carolina Panthers, who have the No. 8 overall pick and another young QB in Bryce Young.

REGARDLESSโ€ฆ

Penn State TE Tyler Warren deserved to win the Mackey Award, and he did.

Tyler Warren picks up yards for a Penn State first down.

Regardless of where Warren lands, his place in Penn State history is secure. He was only a star for one season but boy, was he a star.

Warren set Penn State tight end records for single-season receptions (104) and receiving yards (1,233) and also broke an overall Penn State record with 19 career receiving touchdowns. Warren finished his Penn State career with 153 catches for 1,839 yards and showcased his versatility with 224 rushing yards, six rushing touchdowns and a passing touchdown in 56 games, defying the odds as a three-star recruit. Warren finished seventh in the 2024 Heisman voting.

The NFL Draft begins at Lambeau Field from Thursday, April 24.
