Hicks eclipsed the mark on a 3-pointer for Penn State’s first points of the game.
The senior forward is having a career year with the Nittany Lions, averaging 12.2 points while shooting a conference-leading 43.3 percent from deep.

Hicks has had some memorable games during his career, including a 35-point outburst against Deleware State during the 2021-22 season in which he made 10 3s. He also nailed the game-winning final three free throws in a 90-89 win over No. 12 Illinois last season at Rec Hall.
Zach Hicks was the leading scorer for the Nittany Lions in the first half against Illinois with seven points (2-of-4 shooting).
