Penn State will take on No. 13 Illinois on Wednesday night but will be without a key frontcourt player: Puff Johnson.
Puff Johnson is listed as OUT ahead of tonight’s game against No. 13 Illinois.

Johnson has started all 15 games for the Nittany Lions, averaging 10.3 points and 4.5 rebounds. Although he’s listed at 6-foot-8, Johnson has been key in Mike Rhoades’ defensive schemes, oftentimes drawing bigger assignments such as Purdue’s Trey Kaufman-Renn.
There has been no official report given on why Johnson will miss tonight’s game.
Additionally, freshman Hudson Ward is out and sophomore Kachi Nzeh is questionable. Both players have missed the last two games.
Tipoff between Penn State (+9.5) and Illinois (-9.5) is set for 9 p.m. at the State Farm Center.
