STATE COLLEGE – Penn State has a chance to do something it’s never done in program history.
The Nittany Lions hosted local members of the media on Saturday for Penn State Football’s 2024 Media Day at Beaver Stadium. PSU and James Franklin have never made the College Football Playoff since its inception in 2014. The new 12-team playoff format opens the door for Penn State finished with a top 12 spot in the final CFP rankings six of 10 seasons.
Drew Allar will play a large role in Penn State’s ultimate destiny this season, looking to take the Nittany Lions to the promised land and potentially host a playoff game in December. Allar discussed his relationship with new offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki, how he’s developed as a player and person in three years at Penn State, and importance of PSU’s empowering culture.
Nittany Sports Now’s Austin Bechtold spoke with Allar and redshirt freshman linebacker Ta’Mere Robinson and their excitement for the season.
