Penn State basketball has made the Top Eight for 2025 Blue-Chip SF Ryder Frost.
The 6-foot-6, 205-pound small forward from Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire announced that Penn State along with Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Notre Dame, Michigan, BYU and Iowa were his finalists. Recruiting Insider Dushawn London from 247 Sports was the first with this news.
Other programs that extended offers to Frost include Boston College, Harvard, Georgia Tech, UMass, Minnesota, Nebraska, NC State, Rhode Island, Villanova, Wake Forest and West Virginia.

Recruiting Insider Dushawn London from 247 Sports was the first with this news.
247 Sports, On3 and ESPN all rank Frost as a 4-star recruit, with On-3 rating him as the nation’s No. 99 player overall while 247 has him slated as the No. 126 player.
At this stage of his recruitment, Frost has arranged the following official visits: Virginia Tech (August 25-27), Iowa (August 28-31), Michigan (September 1-3), Notre Dame (September 5-7) and Wisconsin (September 12-14).
Frost has already taken visits to Penn State and Syracuse.

A recent scouting report on Rivals.com had the following description of Frost- “Frost is a big floor spacer. He plays with toughness and disciplined focus. He is capable of authoring efficiency as an inside-outside scorer who levitates above the rim and finishes.”
