Penn State All 105: Mars Native Matt Detisch Stands out on Developmental Squad

All 105 is a Nittany Sports Now series profiling each Penn State football player. This edition will look at walk-on OL Matt Detisch.

Before Penn State: Detisch came to Penn State as a walk-on ahead of last season after two years lettering at Mars High School in the Pittsburgh Area. At Mars, Detisch earned the team’s offensive and defensive line MVP honors for both his junior and senior seasons and was twice an all-conference selection. Detisch also competed in Track & Field at Mars, lettering twice. He was also a captain on the football team and a team MVP.

2022: Detisch redshirted his first season at Penn State, appearing in one game.

Last year: Detisch didn’t appear in any of Penn State’s games but was named Developmental Squad Offensive Player of the Week three times.
