James Franklin and his Penn State football coaches are anxiously awaiting and preparing their team for what should be a competitive season opener next Saturday as the Nittany Lions travel to West Virginia.
Neal Brown and the Mountaineers are coming off a 2023 season in which they won 9 games, so this won’t be the usual cupcake opener that most teams play in their opener.
Despite being in complete preparation mode, the Nittany Lions staff is still recruiting for the future.
Over the last couple of days, the Penn State football program has extended a couple more offers, including one to a 9th grader.
Here’s some information on the players that have been added to the Penn State recruiting board.
KAI PRITCHARD: 2026 4-star offensive tackle from Donovan Catholic High School in Toms Rivers, New Jersey.
Pritchard is 6’4″, 275-pounds and is ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 2 junior in the state. Along with Penn State, Pritchard also holds offers from Power Four programs such as Pitt, Rutgers, West Virginia, Tennessee, Syracuse, NC State, Maryland, Kentucky, Illinois, Duke and Boston College.
STEFAN ROGERS: 2028 wide receiver/athlete from St. John’s College High School in Washington DC. This becomes the 2nd D-1 offer for this talented freshman, with the first coming from Maryland. Rogers recently attended a prospects camp at Penn State, where the coaches were able to evaluate him.
Got a great pass from @PeterBourque7 to close out camp at PSU yesterday. Stay ready! https://t.co/fW7FO1ZVfh
