A new name has emerged in Penn State football’s seemingly never-ending search to upgrade their depth chart at the wide receiver position.
Jerome Myles is a 2025 4-star wide receiver from Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Utah.
Myles is one of the highest ranked overall players in the Class of 2025 and his latest offer has come from Penn State. 247 Sports ranks Myles as the No. 5 wide receiver and the No. 30 overall prospect in the Class of 2025.
More teams like Penn State are once again recruiting Myles because of his decision to decommit from Ole Miss at the end of June. Aside from Penn State, the 6’3″, 220-pound wideout has picked up recent offers from USC, Auburn, Nebraska and Miami, Fla. Along with those schools, Myles holds previous offers from Michigan, Texas A&M, Utah, Arkansas, BYU, California, Iowa State, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Tennessee, UCLA, Washington and Washington State.
At the end of June, Myles made official visits to both Michigan and Texas A&M, but his recruitment is reportedly still wide open.
Myles dealt with injuries in 2023 as he broke his ankle five games into the season. Prior to that injury, he caught 19 passes for 486 yards and 6 TD’s. He battled back and was able to return for his teams’ state championship game and in that game, Myles caught 5 passes for 122 yards and 2 TD’s.

“Myles is one of the top receivers in the country. He has a rare combination of size, speed and body control and reminds us a bit of former Washington All-American wide out and recent No. 9 pick of the Chicago Bears, Rome Odunze. He has an athletic 6-2, 210-pound frame and is a true deep threat who can get behind any defense. He has a track background with personal bests this Spring of 10.57-100m and 21.30-200m. He has a large catch radius and shows the ability to make contest catches over a corner or catch a ball down by his ankles. He’s a physical blocker as well and will knock a defender on his backside and it’s really tough to find a discernible weakness in his game. When you combine his physical gifts in terms of frame and high-level athleticism, there aren’t many pass catchers with more long-term potential than Myles.”
That sounds promising but the question is can the Penn State staff be able to make up some ground and find a way to get Myles to make a visit.
