A big change in the recruiting plans for Penn State wide receiver target Koby Howard.
The 2025 4-star recruit from Hollywood Florida originally planned on announcing his college decision on August 24th at halftime between his nationally televised game on ESPN with St. John Bosco.
Howard has made a change in his plans.
The 6’1″, 175-pound wide out announced on Twitter that he’s moved up his timeline and will announce his choice this coming Sunday, August 4th. Howard will be deciding between Penn State, Florida State, Florida and Ole Miss.

This change of plans comes on the heels of Howard traveling to State College last weekend for their annual Lasch Bash Festivities.
ESPN gives Howard a national rating of 5.9 and ranks him as one of the Top 20 prospects in the state of Florida and one of the Top 150 overall recruits in the Class of 2025.
At this time, Nittany Sports Now forecasts Howard to give a commitment to James Franklin and Penn State. This would be a major add for Penn State considering their efforts in trying to real in a top-rated wide receiver. They came up short with their recruitment of 4-star Taz Williams and 4-star Lex Cyrus but look to be in good shape with Howard.

Trying to bring a few top-notch wide receivers has been a major off-season theme for the Penn State football program.
Penn State football currently has received 21 commitments for their Class of 2025, with two of those coming from wide receivers- 4-star Jeff Exinor, Jr. and 3-star Lyrick Samuel.
This is shaping up to be a big week for Penn State recruiting as two other targets will be announcing their decisions today. 2025 4-star defensive end Yyan Kemajou will announce this afternoon at 2 PM, while 2026 defensive end Daniel Jennings is scheduled to announce at 7 PM.
