Thomas is a four-star WR from Pleasantville High School in Cape May, New Jersey, who like Wallace-Coleman, committed to Penn State while on his official visit.
Penn State offered Thomas in March 2023. He also went on official visits to West Virginia (June 6-8) and Nebraska (June 14-16). Along with those three schools, he had offers from Georgia, Maryland, Pitt, Rutgers, Syracuse, Tennessee and UConn. Thomas had made several visits to Penn State, including attending both of the team’s home night games last season— against West Virginia to open the season and against Iowa three weeks later for the “White Out” game.
Before his official visit, Thomas went to Penn State’s first elite prospect camp of the summer in June and told On3Sports what PSU wanted to see from him.
“They wanted to see how much I improved from last year with everything,” Thomas said. “Their coaches were looking at my speed, how I did in DB drills, agility drills, everything. They explained how they were extremely pumped to see major improvement from last year. They were very excited I went out to the camp and got after it and earned the official visit.”
Before the prospect camp, Thomas spoke with 247Sports and described Penn State as a “school that is real straightforward.”
“They started recruiting me a year-and-a-half ago and I went to their camp and I wasn’t as polished,” he said. “My agility workouts weren’t the best and they told me straight up; you are going to have to get it. Next year come get it and that was that.”
Penn State now has 17 total ‘25 commits and isn’t expected to slow down.
