Some disappointing recruiting news on two fronts for Penn State this afternoon.
After hosting two 4-star players on official visits, not only do those two players commit elsewhere, but they also commit to rivals.
On Friday, 4-star safety Kainoa Winston makes a commit to the Michigan Wolverines. The native of Maryland selected the defending national champions over Penn State, Oregon and North Carolina. Winston is the cousin of Penn State starting safety KJ Winston.

Later on in the afternoon, 4-star wide receiver Quincy Porter announces that he’ll be committing to play for Ohio State. The Top 100 recruit and native of New Jersey selected Ohio State over Penn State, Alabama, Michigan and Oklahoma.

Porter, who’s rated as the No. 1 recruit in New Jersey, made official visits to Alabama and Penn State and was scheduled to be in Michigan this weekend.
Penn State is in the middle of their third official visit of June, with the group of visitors headlined by Texas 4-star wide receiver Taz Williams, Jr.
