Penn State WR KeAndre Lambert-Smith Posts Cryptic Response to Transfer Portal Reports

Keandre Lambert-Smith celebrates his fourth quarter game winning touchdown in the final two minutes.

Penn State football could be losing its leading receiver from the 2023 season to the transfer portal.

On Tuesday, KeAndre Lambert-Smith wasn’t seen by reporters during the media’s viewing window of practice.

Less than 72 hours later, reports surfaced that Lambert-Smith could soon be entering the portal.

Matt Zenitz of 247Sports first reported that Lambert-Smith was “strongly considering” entering the transfer portal.”

Pete Nakos of On3Sports then reported that Lambert-Smith was “expected to enter the transfer portal.”

Lambert-Smith is still on Penn State’s roster and is slated to suit up for the White Team in Saturday’s Blue-White game.

Less than 24 hours before that game, Lambert-Smith addressed the reports on Instagram.

“I see it all,” Lambert-Smith wrote on his Instagram story, which featured a picture of himself playing and a screenshot of Zenitz’s report. “Stand on it lol.”

It’s not yet clear what this means, but what we do know is that the upcoming transfer portal window opens Monday and will remain open for a little more than two full weeks.

If Lambert-Smith does enter the transfer portal and leave Penn State, things would become more interesting for the receivers room.

The senior from Norfolk, Virginia led Penn State in receiving last season with 53 catches for 673 yards (12.7 yards/catch) and four touchdowns. In 2022, he 24 passes for 389 yards and four touchdowns.

But Lambert-Smith didn’t produce much toward the end of last season.

In Penn State’s last four games, including the Peach Bowl loss to Ole Miss, Lambert-Smith totaled two receptions for 28 yards.

Penn State has since added Julian Fleming, a former five-star who spent four seasons at Ohio State.
