Led by 27 points from Kanye Clary, 20 by Ace Baldwin and 15 from Nick Kern Jr, Penn State got the biggest win of the Mike Rhoades era with an 87-83 win over Wisconsin at the Bryce Jordan Center.
Penn State started hot and led 36-32 at the half.
Kanye Clary led Penn State with 10 points.
The second half was back and forth with Penn State leading by three at the first media timeout.
At the U12 timeout, Penn State led 59-55.
The teams continued to battle, and Penn State led 61-57 at the next media timeout. With just under five minutes left, Wisconsin’s Max Klesmit made a  3 to give Wisconsin its first lead of the night. A bucket by Qudus Wahab put Penn State back ahead, 74-72, with just over four minutes left. Baldwin hit two foul shots with less than three minutes left to put Penn State ahead by two possessions. With 1:58 left, Nick Kern nailed two free throws to put Penn State ahead 80-75. Penn State ended up holding on.
Penn State’s next game is at Ohio State Saturday at noon.
