Watch: Maryland Students Misspell Mascot’s Name

It’s been a rough day for Maryland fans, whose football team has struggled against Penn State. It appears that it’s been a rough enough day for some fans to turn their mascot name’s into a medical call.

Fox cameramen caught the shirtless advocates rearranged from the likely spelling “Terps!” to “Strep!” as their team was down 24-7 in the third quarter.

Of course, we’re assuming that it was meant to spell “Terps!” but there’s also a random go with the letter “O” on his chest below them. Maybe it was meant to be “Go Terps!” but the “G” left as the game got out of reach. Even then, the “O” has made his way down lower than he should be for that.

Regardless, take this as a medical reminder to keep your shirt on as the weather gets cold so you don’t end up with strep throat.
