UNIVERSITY PARK– Daequan Hardy had never returned a punt at Penn State before today.
All he did was return his first punt return in almost five years of college football for a 56-yard touchdown.
In the second half, Hardy struck again, this time with a 69-yard punt return.
No Penn State player had returned two punts for touchdowns before today. Hardy seemed to be an unlikley candidate to be the first, but it’s happened.
