Penn State coach James Franklin hinted this week that third-string RB Trey Potts could be having an increased role in the offense.
When fans and media heard that, they probably weren’t picturing him throwing a touchdown pass.
But that happened in the third quarter of Penn State’s game against Illinois.
Potts hit Tyler Warren for an 11-yard score to put Penn State up 22-7.
