The Drew Allar Era has finally begun for Penn State and company.
An ovation during the starting lineup announcement translated to a raucous cheer when this strike happened just four plays into the game.

Poise has always been a strong suit for Allar and he showed just that by stepping up in the pocket with his eyes downfield to find KeAndre Lambert-Smith for the 72-yard touchdown.
Lambert-Smith outran the West Virginia defense en route to the endzone and the play put an exclamation point on a drive that featured Nicholas Singleton rushing twice for 13 yards and a nine-yard pitch and catch to Lambert-Smith.
For the Penn State the pocket awareness Allar has demonstrated in just brief stints is exciting and something to build on. It will extend play and pay off in big ways when things go awry against formidable foes later in the season.
