On3’s Charles Power and Clark Brooks named its top 100 players for the 2023 college football season and six Penn State players made the list.

Penn State offensive Olu Fashanu was the top ranked player on the list at number seven, followed by cornerback Kalen King at number ten, linebacker Abdul Carter at No. 13, defensive end Chop Robinson at No. 25, running back Nick Singleton at No. 33, and linebacker Curtus Jacobs at No. 100.

Fashanu was playing like the best left tackle in the county midway through the 2022 season before his injury. Had he entered the 2023 NFL Draft he would have most likely been the top offensive lineman taken in the draft.

King was quietly one of the best cornerbacks in the country playing opposite Joey Porter Jr., but now he will have the spotlight fully on him this season. He had three interceptions last season and 21 pass breakups while leading the country with 93.3 overall Pro Football Focus grade.

Both Carter and Jacobs have the potential to be the best off-ball linebacker duo in the country with the duo combining for 18 tackles for losses, nine sacks, three forced fumbles, and an interception last year and another year in Manny Diaz’s defense the numbers and splash plays should increase.

Robinson transferred from Maryland and switched from linebacker to defensive end and mad an immediate impact on Penn States defense. He Led all Power Five edge defenders with a 90.6 overall grade and a 94.2 grade according to PFF.

Singleton is one of the most electrifying players in the country on offense. He came onto the scene in nationally televised games at Auburn, against Maryland and against Utah in the Rose Bowl with long runs that made him look like a man amongst boys. He also had a 100-yard Kickoff ret return against Rutgers last season. Now he is up to 228 pounds and is looking to looking to add more balance and consistency to his game.
