Andrew Funk

DES MOINES, Iowa— Penn State’s run over the past several weeks has been glorious for the program, and the team isn’t ready for it to be over.

Tenth-seeded Penn State takes on No. 7 Texas Saturday night in Des Moines.

For Andrew Funk, who scored 27 points in Penn State’s 76-59 win over Texas A&M Thursday, a key for Penn State will be to be unpredictable offensively.

“We’re a tough team to prepare for,” Funk said at Friday’s media availability. “The stuff that we did last night might have been stuff that we haven’t done for three weeks and we won’t do again for the rest of the tournament, and then we’re going to go back to stuff we did a month ago. So, I don’t envy people that have to prepare for us and all the weapons that we have and the way we run our offense. And then I have a lot of confidence for us to adjust on the fly and coach (Micah) Shrewsberry to adjust on the fly and put us in the right position to succeed.”
