CHICAGO— It looks like Penn State’s 12-year NCAA Tournament drought is about to end.
Penn State beat Illinois 79-76 in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament at Chicago’s United Center.
The common perception is that one Big Ten tournament win would have punched Penn State’s (20-12) NCAA Tournament ticket, and coach Micah Shrewsbery’s team got that win.
