ANN ARBOR, MI— Penn State wrestling did what Penn State wrestling does this weekend in Ann Arbor.
It had been longer than some might have thought since Penn State win its last Big Ten championship.
But this weekend, Cael Sanderson’s empire won its first team conference title since 2019.
Individually, Penn State had four Big Ten champions. Roman-Bravo Young (133-pound class) and Aaron Brooks (184) won their third Big Ten titles, Carter Starocci (174) won his second and freshman sensation Levi Haines (57) won his first.
Here’s how the people Twitter reaction to the kings reclaiming their conference throne.
Penn State is a glitch for College Wrestling.
What separates them from every other program? It almost seems unfair how good everyone is that wrestles for them.#B1GWrestle— Jersey Jerry (@Jerrythekid21) March 5, 2023

To put RBY's dominance into perspective, he has not lost a Big Ten bout since 2020.
What a way to end his conference career, folks.

“I would have told you ‘you’re damn right.’
I asked Carter Starocci what he would have said if, before he got to Penn State, somebody told him he’d be going for a third straight national championship.
It wouldn’t have surprised him. pic.twitter.com/vqqhkWRwkC

What a run, Dean & Kerkvliet fall short, but four @B1GWrestling champions, by way of Happy Valley in RBY, Haines, Starocci & Brooks. It’s onto Tulsa, with 9/10 weight classes represented and hopes of back-to-back titles! https://t.co/jlSZtCr8VI

Sucks hockey lost, but….
Basketball stayed alive with the win of the decade and wrestling clinched its first Big Ten title since 2019.
Great day overall.
