Isaac finished the 2022 season with 28 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and four sacks, playing a big role in what was a successful first Penn State defense for coordinator Manny Diaz.
After missing the entire 2021 season dude to injury, people wonder how Isaac would respond in 2022.
He answered those questions with his play. Now, Penn State fans will be watching him play for at another year.
Isaac wrote in his Twitter statement that “it has truly been a pleasure to play football for Penn State University and learn from some of the most influential coaches and staff in the football industry, along with gaining a brotherhood that will forever be in my life.”
“I also had the greatest opportunity to work towards my college degree,” Isaac wrote, “which is very important to myself and my family with whom have been my strength and driving force from day one.”
Isaac’s return adds to the promise of Penn State’s defensive ends room for 2023. Chop Robinson, Dani Dennis-Sutton and Smith Vilbert are also set to be back next season.
Isaac came to Penn State after a standout career at Canarsie High School in New York. A consensus four-star recruit and the consensus top-ranked player in New York from the 2019 class, Isaac committed and signed with Penn State on Early Signing Day in 2018.
The defensive end wrote in his statement that he’s “created many memories that will last a lifetime.”
He’ll have a chance to make more memories next season.
