Penn State made out nicely on National Signing Day last month, but that doesn’t mean that James Franklin and the coaching staff are done recruiting the class of 2023.
Deric English, a three-star wide receiver from Saguaro High in Glendale, Arizona, picked up an offer from PSU assistant Rashad Rich Sunday afternoon.
After a great talk with @shadrich80 I am blessed to say that I have received an offer from @PennStateFball!! A huge thank you to @coachjfranklin and @CoachStubbs for helping us get this done!! pic.twitter.com/3xXPP03zcd

English holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado State, Florida State, Louisville, Michigan State, Missouri, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
His recruiting process really picked up during his junior season transferring from Moutain Ridge (where he started as a freshman and sophomore), receiving a handful of Power Five offers.
English was limited to just seven games as a senior at Saguaro, but he still hauled in 22 receptions for 321 yards (14.6 yards per reception) and four touchdowns — a breakout performance after just one game as a junior.
With excellent size (6-foot-4, 210 pounds), he’s a big-bodied target in any offense.
247Sports rates English as the 517th-ranked recruit in the class (72nd-ranked wide receiver and 11th-ranked recruit from Arizona) while On3 rates him as the 611th-ranked recruit in the class (89th-ranked wide receiver and 12th-ranked recruit from Arizona).
Rivals rates him as the 19th-ranked recruit from Arizona — awarding him a 5.6 Rivals Rating.
Penn State currently only has one wide receiver commit in the class of 2023 in four-star Carmelo Taylor (Roanoke, Virginia) who signed on NSD. With last season’s top two receivers moving on, Franklin and company are adding reinforcements from the high school and the transfer portal.
