STATE COLLEGE P.A.— Penn State (9-2, 6-2 Big Ten) is up 14-0 on Michigan State (5-6, 3-5), and that’s not surprising.
Tight end Theo Johnson having two touchdown receptions is slightly more surprising.
But one of those receptions being from KeAndre Lambert-Smith? Well, that wasn’t something many people expected.
Lambert-Smith, a starting receiver, is now 2-2 on pass attempts this year.
He completed a 25-yarder to Sean Clifford in a win at Auburn this past September. That play didn’t go for a touchdown. This one did. A trick play turned into a 48-yard score.
Johnson has two catches for 59 yards and two touchdowns. In the second quarter, Penn State leads Michigan State 14-0.
