Pinegar started all 35 of Penn State’s games at placekicker from 2018-2020. He led the Big Ten in total points as a true freshman, made honorable mention all-conference the next year and got on the Lou Groza Award watch list before his junior season. In 2021, the combination of an injury and Jordan Stout’s le led to Pinegar redshirting. After starting 35 straight games, Pinegar appeared in only two during the 2021 season.
In 2022, he’s returned to being Penn State’s No. 1 kicker. He’s made 8-10 field goal attempts, 38-40 extra points and nailed a 50-yarder in this past Saturday’s win over Indiana.
