Penn State has been climbing up the rankings all year but has made significant strides in the past few weeks. The wins against Michigan and Minnesota were the first wins against a No. 1 ranked team in program history.
Penn State sits 10-2 (4-2 Big Ten) on the season with its two losses coming from Michigan and Minnesota. Penn State split each two-game series.
Penn State returns home to play Michigan State this weekend for another two-game set.
