Penn State needed to beat Minnesota tonight.
It needed to beat Minnesota more than it needed to beat any other team thus far in the 2022 season, and it got the job done in grand fashion, 45-17.
Penn State scored six touchdowns, and one of them was a 20-yard pass from Sean Clifford to Mitchell Tinsley.
Tinsley ended what will be his only White Out appearance— he’s out of eligibility after this season— with 58 yards and a touchdown on four catches.
Tinsley recalls watching the 2019 White Out game against Michigan on TV.
“It exceeded all expectations for sure,” Tinsley told reporters after the game. “I remember watching in 2019. I was in my (junior college) dorm room watching the 2019 White Out against Michigan. So, you know, it was definitely a cool experience and also, it was a dream of mine to be part of something like this.”
