Anthony Robinson, a junior college defensive back out of Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas has committed to Penn State as a preferred walk-on.
Robinson who is a 6-foot-3, 195-pound long, rangy cornerback originally from Baltimore, Maryland has had offers from BYU, Elon, Indiana, Jackson State, and Western Illinois. Other schools like Arizona, Illinois, Maryland, Utah State, and Washington have also reached out to Robinson in recent months.
Robinson announced his commitment in a Tweet on Tuesday with the following message:

“I would like to thank my God and the coaches that have been in my corner and were part of my success in junior college and high school,” Robinson tweeted. “I’m blessed and grateful to be coached by the best DB college coaches in junior college football in coach Mo (Gray). I’m not the person to tell my story, but it’s been a long and working one. “

With the addition of Robinson, defensive backs coach Terry Smith will look to turn another former junior college transfer into a high-level performer such as Jaquan Brisker and Ji’Ayir Brown before him.
