Ellis Robinson IV is not only one of the top junior cornerbacks in the country, he’s also one of the top ranked players in the Class of 2024.
The five-star cornerback attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida and 247 Sports has Robinson as one of the Top 10 juniors in the country.
As expected, Robinson holds offers from all the top programs in the country such as Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pitt, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, West Virginia and of course Penn State.
Robinson grew up in Connecticut and then New York before taking his skills to Florida to play for the highly-acclaimed IMG.
This weekend, Robinson will be a little closer to home.
He tells Nittany Sports Now that he’ll be one of the many recruits at Beaver Stadium Saturday night for the White Out game against Minnesota.
Coach James Franklin and his staff are battling all of the top programs for Robinson, so getting him on campus is important, and having him experience the White Out could also be big.
Nittany Sports Now caught up with Robinson to talk about his upcoming visit along with his current relationship with Penn State’s staff.
“Penn State was my first offer,” Robinson said. “They believed in me first, they made me feel like a priority from the start and have been consistent through the process. I’m very comfortable with Coach (Terry) Smith, Coach (Alan) Zemitis, Coach (Rashad) Elby and Coach Franklin has also done a good job of keeping in contact with me. I love the product coach Franklin and his staff are putting on the field and I also love the fact that they value the corner position heavily.”
“This is my first White Out game. I’m looking forward to feeling the energy in Beaver Stadium. It’s going to be electric. I need to feel the energy and be able to see myself in the atmosphere playing. Ultimately it will play a part in my final decision.”
Back in June, Robinson announced a Top 10 of South Carolina, USC, Alabama, Oklahoma, LSU, Ohio State, Miami, Georgia, Florida and Penn State.
