It wasn’t pretty, but Penn State went 1-0 this week and improved to 4-0 for the 2022 season.

“We’re right where we need to be,” quarterback Sean Clifford, who went 22-34 passing for 217 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions and another touchdown on the ground, told reporters after the game. “We’ve had a lot of success. We’re seeing now what hampers that. At the same time, I think that we’re in a position, with the right guys, to make the push, to make those corrections, be honest with each other, ourselves, look each other in the mirror and, really, just have honest conversations.”

Here’s more from Clifford and tight end Brenton Strange, who caught five passes for 42 yards and two touchdowns.
