Parker Washington Named to Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watchlist

Penn State wide receiver Parker Washington has been named to his second preseason award watch list

Washington was placed on the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award watch list Wednesday after being named to the Biletnikoff Award watch list along with teammate Mitchell Tinsley last month.

The Eral Campbell Tyler Rose Award goes to the top offensive player that defines the characteristics of College and Pro Football Hall of Famer Earl Campbell.

These traits are; integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community and tenacity.

This award is exclusive to players born in Texas, went to high school in Texas or went to a Texas junior college and university. Washington went to William B. Travis High School in Sugar Land, Texas.

Washington stated all 13 games last season, playing along Jahan Dotson, who now with the Washington Commanders.

Washington recorded 64 catches for 820 yards and four touchdowns in 2021.

Washington has started and caught a pass in all 22 games he’s appeared in at Penn State.

Washington will have an increased role in coordinator Mike Yurcich’s offense with the departure of Dotson.
