Henn is the fourth player to join Penn State in this transfer portal cycle. The 6-foot-8 Bellevue, Washington, native will join guards Andrew Funk from Bucknell University and Cam Wynter from Drexel in coach Micah Shrewsberry’s transfer class.
Henn averaged 8.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists while shooting 38 percent from three last season for the Pioneers.
Henn will bring extensive experience to Penn State’s roster. He has started 71 games throughout his college career and will help fill the shoes of the departed John Harrar.
Penn State now has an experienced veteran that can either be a regular starter like he was at Portland State and Denver or provide depth and size in the frontcourt, especially with Greg Lee coming off an injury. Although incoming freshmen Kebba Naje and Demetrius Lilly have the size and skills to contribute, they are not as likely to be counted on to contribute as the more experienced players are.
