Penn State is looking to continue its strong run recruiting in the south as they are in the running along with five Southeastern Conference schools. Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, and Tennessee are also in the running for the commitment of Jackson.
Jackson is a 6-foot-1 cornerback and wide receiver out of Osceola High School who has received 34 offers from Division I schools. Jackson is the No. 52 recruit in Florida, the No. 28. cornerback, and the No. 250 player in the Class of 2023.
Jackson caught 28 passes for 548 yards and four touchdowns on offense and intercepted three passes for Osceola as he began his junior year on offense but transitioned into playing defense in the last four games of last season. He also runs a 10.90 100-meter dash in track.
Scouts project Jackson at the college level due to his size, length, and his ability to play physically at the line and compete with the ball in the air. He is a raw prospect at defensive back so he can develop and put on 10-15 pounds of bulk before he comes to college.
If Jackson is to come to Penn State, he would join Marcus Stokes and Conrad Hussey as commitments from Florida in the 2023 recruiting cycle.
