The Penn State men’s basketball team will now play their final regular-season game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers at 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 27 instead of the original Monday, February 28 date.
The game was moved up one day because a schedule alteration within the Nebraska athletic program flexed the game back one night. The weekend game will allow the Cornhuskers an extra day to regroup to play a road game against Ohio State on March 1.
Nebraska’s game against Ohio State is a makeup game that was originally scheduled to take place on January 22, but numerous COVID-19 cases within their program forced the Big Ten Conference to postpone and reschedule the game.
Penn State still has four home games remaining in their season with a game against Michigan on Tuesday night, followed by hosting Michigan State a week from Tuesday and another game that was rescheduled against Minnesota on Thursday, February 17. The game against Minnesota was originally scheduled for January 19 but got postponed due to top positive COVID-19 test results within the Golden Gophers program.
All purchased tickets for the game will still be valid for the new date, which was confirmed by Penn State officials.
