Report: PSU CB Tariq Castro-Fields Not Dressed for Outback Bowl

Penn State senior defensive back Tariq Castro-Fields didn’t opt-out of the Outback Bowl, but it doesn’t look like he’ll play.

Castro-Fields, who has been a part of Penn State’s program since 2017, is one of the six regular starters on defense that didn’t opt out. With his absence, Penn State will be down to five regular starters on defense, and that number is even smaller considering regular defensive tackle PJ Mustipher has been out since the Oct. 9 game at Iowa.

It appears freshman Kalen King will start in Castro-Fields’s place.
