PSU OL Prospect to Play in Polynesian Bowl

A prominent Penn State signee has been chosen for the 2022 Polynesian Bowl.

Drew Shelton, a 6-5, 275-pound offensive tackle from Downingtown, Pennsylvania (Downingtown West High School) is a four-star recruit according to 247 Sports’s composite rankings. Nittany Lions fans hope that he’ll be part of an offensive line revival, as the Lions struggled to block in 2021.

Shelton is set to be one of four Penn State commits to play in the Polynesian Bowl, with defensive back Cam Miller, defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton and receiver Anthony Ivey being the other three.

247’s composite rankings have Shelton as the No. 11 offensive tackle and the No. 3 overall prospect in Pennsylvania. Another Penn State signee, running back Nick Singleton, ranks No. 2, and six of the top 10 have signed with Penn State.
