After committing to Penn State Tuesday night, 2022 offensive tackle Matthew Detisch from Mars High School in Mars, Pennsylvania officially signed his National Letter of Intent Wednesday morning to walk on with the Nittany Lions.
Detisch (6-foot-6, 275 pounds) picked the Lions over offers from RMU, West Liberty, Edinboro, Clarion, Gannon, VMI and interest from other FCS and Division II programs.

A two-time All-Conference offensive tackle and local newspaper Sweet 16 member, Detisch visited Bucknell, Youngstown State and Penn State this year — picking up his Lions’ walk-on offer earlier this month.
As a big, strong yet raw offensive lineman, Detisch will benefit from developing in the Lions’ program over the next few seasons.
