Arnold Ebiketie has been one of Penn State’s biggest success stories of 2021, and the nation has noticed.
Ebiketie has been named a finalist for the Ted Hendricks Award given to College Football’s top defensive end.
Before Penn State, Ebiketie was part of the Temple football program from 2017-20, redshirting in 2017. After the 2020 season, Ebiketie transferred to State College, becoming a force on the Nittany Lions defense. Ebiketie finished the regular season with 9.5 sacks, good for third in the Big Ten behind Michigan’s pass-rushing tandem of Aiden Hutchinson and David Ojabo. Ebiketie also has 62 tackles and two forced fumbles and is second behind Wisconsin’s Leo Chenal in tackles for loss.
In total, 30 players were named to the list. The winner will be announced Dec. 9.
