A pair of Big 10 heavyweights will battle before well over 100,000 in State College Saturday afternoon at 3:30 this afternoon.
For No. 6 Michigan, Saturday in Happy Valley is a chance to move one step closer to the Big 10 championship game. For the Nittany Lions, it’s a chance to play spoiler, as well as improve their prospects for a New Year’s Six bowl game.
After losing three straight, the Nittany Lions got off the schnied last week at Maryland with a 31-14 win. Also, last week, Michigan bounced back from its only loss of the season with a 29-7 win over Indiana at the Big House.
Michigan is -1.5 point favorites according to Caesars Sportsbook. With Penn State playing at home and quarterback Sean Clifford seeming to be at or near 100% should make for a tight contest.
Since Penn State joined the Big 10 in 1993, the Nittany Lions have played Michigan 24 times, and the Wolverines lead the all-time series 14-10. Last year, Penn State came into an empty Michigan Stadium at 0-5 and got its first win, 27-17. Michigan looks to take back control of the series by winning at Beaver Stadium, something the Wolverines haven’t done since 2015.
For Nittany Lion fans who can’t make it to the game, here are the watching/listening options.
