It’s rare for a player to re-commit to a school after de-committing from them but it happened today for Penn State.
Prior to today’s game against Villanova, 2023 4-star tight end Mega Barnwell announced that he’s once again committed to the Nittany Lions. Barnwell becomes Penn State’s third commitment for the Class of 2023.

Barnwell originally committed to James Franklin in June of 2020 but de-committed on January 20, 2021 saying that he made his original decision too soon.
Barnwell (Fredericksburg, Virginia) is rated as the No. 8 junior tight end and one of the Top 120 overall players in the Class of 2023.
Aside from Penn State, Barnwell held offers from Arizona, Arizona, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Pitt, Rutgers, Tennessee, USC, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
Barnwell was one of the hundreds of recruits in attendance for last weekends game against Auburn.
